2013 Startup Career Fair!
Coming into the i-lab last Friday you could feel the buzz in the air…It was time for the third Annual Startup Career Fair!
Last Friday, over 1000 students came to the i-lab to learn more about the 100+ companies at the Annual Startup Career Fair. Organized by FAS Office of Career Services and the Harvard Innovation Lab, the career fair was open to all Harvard students and focused on enabling students to network with representatives from entrepreneurial and start-up organizations, learn about jobs and internships, and discover exciting opportunities available in the start-up field!
In a testament to the fact that entrepreneurship at Harvard is on the rise, the fair was attended by 70% more students than last year (…no wonder it felt so busy)! Students from across Harvard stopped by the i-lab, excited to see what was on offer. The companies, hailing from all backgrounds, sizes and geographies (including the i-lab’s very own residents, Tivli, Hottspot Inc, Bobo Analytics Inc and RallyPoint), gave students the opportunity to explore startups in the health, tech, social entrepreneurship and consumer space, and if interested drop their resume for internship or job positions. Many organizations also remarked on the high caliber of the students they met, and were impressed by the energy and amount of interest shown by students, evidence that the Career Fair definitely represents an opportunity for both students and startups alike.
